In like a lion: Intro to Spring Events

In a few short days March will be upon us and after this winter Spring can't come quick enough. The old saying "in like a lion, out like a lamb" will be half true for us here at Capo's. We are coming into Spring like lions with a lot great things planned for our customers. I have just completed the Spring edition of The Bark, our quarterly newsletter which covers March, April and May. We have some interesting news we are sharing including new lines coming into the store and lots of cool new events, classes and opportunities. I will be writing about several of these opportunities individually throughout the Spring months but I wanted to give you an idea of what we have ahead for you.

One of our founding beliefs is that education is essential for growth. To that end we offer a lot of events and we offer a full line of instructional materials. We have instructors for all our major instruments including Guitar (classical and flatpick), Banjo (clawhammer and bluegrass style) Mandolin, Autoharp, Mountain Dulcimer, Fiddle/Violin and Electric Bass. This spring we are unveiling our group classes which includes a slow jam class and a beginner guitar class for mature adults.

The Slow Jam Class will be a four week class, one hour per week, and is limited to 8 participants. The class will be held on Tuesdays at 7pm beginning March 22. This class is open to beginners to intermediate players who wish to learn to play in a jam setting or want to advance their jamming skills. Students must know chords. Pre-registration is required. There is a charge of $50 for this class.

The Beginner Guitar Class for Mature Adults is for beginners that are 50 years or older. This class will be a 45 minute class meeting once per week for 6 weeks. Class is limited to 5 participants and pre-registration is required. There is a charge of $50 for this class.

These classes along with game nights, books signings and more are all part of our spring schedule. To find out more information about our events, check out our website at http://www.caposmusicstore.com/ or contact the store at 276-525-1880.
